Gabe R Lara

I am a PhD. candidate at The Pennsylvania State University’s Department of Agricultural Economics, Sociology, and Education (AESE).

My primary field is environmental economics, focusing on environmental justice and water resources. I use empirical methods to understand incentives and evaluate environmental market policies. I apply causal inference techniques, including nonmarket valuation and econometric analysis of observational data. My research also involves aspects of behavioral economics, including the influence of social information. I aim to expand the scope of my interdisciplinary research to encompass water rights markets, indigenous water scarcity, and other water resource management issues. Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments on my research.
